Justin Bieber, Tate McRae, Drake, and various other Canadian artists are featured among the candidates for the 2026 Grammy Awards. Bieber received four nominations for his unexpected return album Swag, which includes accolades for best pop vocal album and album of the year.
This marks Bieber's fifth nomination for best pop vocal album, placing him in a tie with Justin Timberlake for the highest number of nominations for a male artist in this category. His song Daisies is also nominated for best pop solo performance, while Yukon is in contention for best R&B performance.
Halifax's Cirkut, a former Grammy awardee, secured seven nominations, making him the Canadian artist with the highest number of nominations this year. His nods consist of producer of the year, non-classical, for tracks featured on Lady Gaga's album Mayhem, Ed Sheeran's Play, among others.
Additionally, he is nominated for record of the year for both Lady Gaga's Abracadabra and the collaboration between Bruno Mars and Rosé titled Apt,in addition to the album of the year nomination for Mayhem and the best dance pop recording for Abracadabra.
Calgary pop artist Tate McRae has received her inaugural Grammy nomination for outstanding dance pop recording for her song Just Keep Watching featured in the F1 soundtrack. This soundtrack has also garnered a nomination for best compilation soundtrack for visual media.
From Vancouver, Tobias Jesso Jr., who was honored with the songwriter of the year Grammy in 2023, has received another nomination for songwriter of the year in the non-classical category for his contributions to Swag along with other songs like Olivia Dean's Man I Need, Haim's Relationships, and more.
The metal ensemble Spiritbox hailing from Victoria is up for the award of best metal performance.They had previously received nominations in the same category in both 2024 and 2025.
Audio engineer and mixer Serban Ghenea, a 23-time Grammy winner, has earned six nominations this year, including record of the year for his work on Sabrina Carpenter's Manchild and Lady Gaga's Abracadabra. The Montreal-based artist will also be in contention for album of the year for Man's Best Friend and best dance pop recording for Abracadabra.
